tie bommer review

review : tie bommer

The LEGO TIE Bomber is back — and it’s about time. This version, released in 2023, is a long-overdue update to one of the lesser-seen Imperial ships from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. With 625 pieces, it’s a solid mid-sized set that combines smart design, a few play features, and some long-requested minifigures.

Design & Accuracy: The build captures the twin-hull design of the TIE Bomber very well — one pod for the pilot, the other for bombs. The color scheme is classic Imperial gray with some subtle dark tones, and the proportions are nicely balanced. It looks great on a shelf or swooshing through an imaginary asteroid field.

Play Features:

The cockpit opens to seat a minifigure. It includes a working bomb-dropping mechanism, which is genuinely fun and pretty smooth. Flick-fire missiles add a bit of extra firepower.

Minifigures Included: TIE Bomber Pilot – sharp print and updated helmet. Darth Vader – always a win, especially with arm printing. Vice Admiral Sloane – making her first LEGO appearance. Gonk Droid – because why not?

pros:

First TIE Bomber since 2003 — major upgrade. Fun to build, sturdy enough for play. Strong minifig selection, especially for fans of Imperial lore

final thoughts:

This a great set whether your a collector or just enjoy playing with lego. the pilot of this tie is very lucky.
